Claudio Castellini, a master of Italian and international comics, is renowned for his dynamic style and extraordinary anatomical power of his figures. The first Italian author to work stably for the American market, Castellini has redefined the aesthetic of modern superhero storytelling. The exhibition Claudio Castellini: Tocchi da Maestro (master strokes) traces the key stages of his career through original pages: from his Bonelli beginnings on Nathan Never and Dylan Dog, to his historic Marvel and DC Comics work on iconic characters such as Silver Surfer, Conan, Batman, and the legendary Marvel vs. DC crossover. The show at Palazzo delle Esposizioni della Fondazione Banca del Monte offers a thorough analysis of his millimetric technique, focusing on the study of chiaroscuro and on the muscular plasticity that have made his mark a global reference point.
