Founded in late 2022, Alterium unites the talents of Nicoletta Rosellini (formerly of Kalidia and Walk in Darkness) with former bandmates Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums), joined by Alessandro Mammola (guitars) and Luca Scalabrin (bass).
Under the production expertise of Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), Alterium recorded their debut album in 2023 and secured a deal with AFM Records. Their debut album, “Of War and Flames” (2024), showcases their ability to blend classic power metal influences with a modern twist and lyrics inspired by fantasy stories and myths, earning them both critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. The
album was also released in Japan through Avalon Marquee and in Brasil through Valhall Music.
Notably, their single “Crossroads Inn” was featured as the official track for the video game of the same name, produced by the Polish software company Klabater. In June 2025, the band released the EP “Stormrage”, which landed on several Spotify editorial playlists.
The title track, inspired by Warcraft’s iconic character Illidan Stormrage, was selected by Blizzard Entertainment as a promotional song for the Legion Remix event in World of Warcraft (October 2025 – January 2026). Blizzard and the band jointly
produced a new music video, which was shared across Blizzard’s social media channels, and Alterium were also featured on the Battle.net homepage.
Their music has earned them appearances at several festivals across Europe (Time To Rock, Epic Fest, Brainstorm Fest, and more), as well as their US debut at ProgPower USA in 2025 and Japanese debut at Evoken Fest in 2026. The band also embarked on their first Euro tour in fall 2025. In addition to her role in the band, Nicoletta is a professional content creator in video game and gothic clothing industries. She also works as a power metal promoter, contributing to Epic Fest (Denmark) and collaborating with various bands and labels. Over the years, she has amassed over 100,000 followers across multiple
platforms. Alterium has also headlined several comic and pop culture conventions in Italy, including Festa dell’Unicorno 2025 and Rimini Comix 2024, as well as Celtic and Medieval events.
Alterium are currently working on their second album, which is scheduled for release in the first half of 2027 and will continue to build a bridgie between heavy metal, storytelling, and fantasy worlds.
