Paola Barbato is a writer and comic book screenwriter, best known for her work on Dylan Dog. Winner of the Scerbanenco Prize in 2008, she has written numerous thrillers for Piemme. Her successful horror-thrillers for Il Battello a Vapore include Il ritornante, Il diario del giorno dopo, Il rifugio segreto, La piega del tempo, the Villa Ombrosa series and Horror Game.
