Alessandro Barbero (Turin, 1959) is one of the most distinguished Italian historians. He taught Medieval History at the University of Eastern Piedmont until 2024. In 1996, he won the Premio Strega with his novel Bella vita e guerre altrui di Mr. Pyle, gentiluomo.
He is widely known for his bestselling books and highly successful podcasts, through which he has inspired a broad audience to develop a passion for history. Garribaldi – The British Tour is his first graphic novel, co-created with Iris Biasio and Davide Savelli, who will both be guests at Lucca Comics & Games alongside him.
