Jeff Dekal is an acclaimed American illustrator and cover artist who was born and raised in Florida.
After discovering the world of art through graffiti for the first time ever, he gradually developed a painterly and clearly visual style, mostly influenced by fine arts and modern comics. Throughout his vast career, he has established himself in the world of comics as cover artists, collaborating with the most important American publishers such as Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, and Awa.
Dekal’s art style is widely recognizable for its use of contrasting colours, evocative compositions and a strong focus on the emotions portrayal of characters, who are often depicted in dynamic and energetic poses charged with narrative tension.
His covers stand out for an almost illustrative-painterly approach, capable of blending graphic impact and expressive depth, helping to define the visual identity of numerous mainstream and independent comic books series and characters.
He will be a guest at Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with Mirage Comics from 28th October to 1st November.
