
Federica Di Meo was born in Chieti in 1983 and moved to Piedmont in the early 2000s. She began studying manga in 2006, initially self-taught, then attending a course led by Maria Vannucchi, which took her to Tokyo at the Yoani Animation Gakuin in 2009 for an advanced course. She further deepened her skills in Italy through lessons with masters Matsuda and Fujita from the Yokohama Comic School, thanks to the Lucca Manga Academy. Since 2008, she has collaborated with many industry companies such as Wacom, Copic, Pentel, and Clip Studio Paint. She works as manga teacher in Turin, Milan, and other cities. She initially worked as an illustrator for DeAgostini and then, starting in 2013, as a comic artist with Panini Comics on Somnia, the first Italian manga handmade in black and white, co-created with Liza E. Anzen (9 volumes), which has been reprinted in a new edition and is now also available in France. Since 2019, she has been working on two series for the French market: Oneira, a dark story published by Kana (Dargaud Lombard), and Rabbids: Luminys Quest for Glénat, published in Italy by Star Comics.
She will be at Lucca Comics & Games from October 28th to November 1st with Manga Issho, Manga All Star – Isshoff, Oneira – L’Era dei Sovrani n.1.
