Tōru Fujisawa was born in Japan in 1967. He achieved unprecedented worldwide success with the series G.T.O. - Great Teacher Onizuka, a spin-off of his best-known manga G.T.O. – Shonan Junai Gumi, adapted into a live-action television series and anime.
As screenwriter, he worked on major projects such as Soul Reviver, establishing himself as one of the best Japanese manga artists of all time. His latest work, G.T.U. – Great Teacher Uchiyamada – Mad Yamada Fury Road, starring his beloved protagonist Hiroshi Uchiyamada, was published by the Italian editor Dynit.
Tōru Fujisawa – in Italy for the first time – will be at Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with Dynit Manga from 28th to 31st October.
