Rebecca Guay is an artist whose work spans comics, fantasy illustration, and fine art over more than three decades. A graduate of Pratt Institute, she launched her career in the early 1990s at Marvel and DC Comics, becoming the regular artist on DC/Vertigo's Black Orchid and contributing to the Sandman universe. She has illustrated over 160 cards for Magic: The Gathering, painted the Magic graphic novels, and created the DC/Vertigo anthology A Flight of Angels and the Dark Horse graphic novel The Last Dragon.
It was at that point that she shifted her focus primarily to gallery work, with solo exhibitions and immersive installations that carry the same emotional depth that first drew readers to her work.
She is currently working on her first complete Tarot deck ARTMS: The Tarot of Rebecca Guay … and remains an active and beloved presence in the comics and sci fi fantasy and gaming genres.
She is excited to be visiting Lucca Comics & Games this fall.
