“Jimmy” is Kim Ji-Min’s pen name. She’s the comic artist of Navillera, one of the most beloved Korean comics of recent years; published in Italy by Gaijin, Navillera was also adapted into a cult Netflix series. Jimmy made her debut in 2010, illustrating the manhwa entitled Carnivorous Princess Yegrinna, and winning an award from Sejong University for her work that same year. Two years later, she won a competition organized by the Japanese magazine Hero’s, leading to the publication of her comic series Booska in the magazine. She became well-known working on Navillera, written by Hun and serialized on Kakao Page between 2016 and 2021, for which she won the Busan Golden Bridge Webtoon Award, the Bucheon Webtoon Award, and received recognition from the Korean Ministry of Culture; the series was also nominated for an Eisner Award in 2022, underscoring its international success. In recent years, she has continued to create hit webtoons such as Rendezvous and The Great — both published on Kakao Page, with the latter published in Italy by Gaijin — and Everyone Loves Her — a currently ongoing series on Naver. She’s continuing garnering awards and accolades for her work in the comic book industry.
