A director, screenwriter and founder of the Haoliners Animation League, Li Haoling is one of the most influential figures in the new wave of Chinese animation. After graduating from Shanghai Donghua University, he began his career in 2008 as a storyboard artist and concept designer, before going on to found his own studio in 2014. In recent years, he has made a name for himself internationally thanks to works that have helped introduce donghua to a wider audience. He is the creator and director of *Link Click*, an acclaimed supernatural thriller, and of *To Be Hero X*, an ambitious production created in collaboration with Aniplex and Bilibili.
His participation in Lucca Comics & Games 2026 marks Li Haoling’s first official appearance in Italy. He will be in attendance on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October.
