Frank Miller, a living legend of our times, is praised as the magnate and honoured artists in the entertainment industry. He is known for his intense and hard-boiled tales as well as his raw noir aesthetics in comics, novels and movies. By the end of ‘70s, he gained recognition as illustrator, and shortly after, as screenwriter of Daredevil for Marvel.
He later created his world-renowned samurai drama series Ronin, followed by the innovative works Batman: The dark knight and Batman: year one. He fulfilled a lifelong dream by creating the all-out crime series Sin City, which was an instant hit. Recently, he launched the Frank Miller Presents, an independent publishing house focused on making and editing author-driven comics.
In 2015, Miller was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame for his contributions to the comic industry, and in 2016 he was inducted into the Walk of Fame of Lucca Comics & Games.
He received the Yellow Kid award at Lucca as Master of Comics in 2023, and his self-portrait became part of the collection of self-portraits at the Uffizi Galleries in Florence.
