
Paco Roca is one of the most significant and best-known Spanish authors of graphic novels and comics. Wrinkles is his most critically acclaimed and bestselling work - winning the Gran Guinigi award at Lucca Comics & Games, 2008 National Comic Award of Spain, Best Spanish Comic Book by Diario de Avisos de Teneriffe, Best Work at the Barcelona and Madrid International Comics Festival. The graphic novel was also adapted into an animated short film that was nominated at the Oscars.
Tunué published most of Roca’s work in Italy, including The House, Wrinkles, The Lighthouse, Twist of Fate, Las calles de arena, Emotional Tour, El juego lúgubre, La encrucijada, Memoirs of a Man in Pajamas the trilogy, The Treasure of the Black Swan – written by Guillermo Corral and adapted into a TV series directed by the director Alejandro Amenábar – Return to Eden, and The Abyss of Oblivion.
In 2008, Paco Roca received the Gran Guinigi Award for Best Graphic Novel for Wrinkles and won the Yellow Kid for Best Author of the Year for Return to Eden in 2022.
He will be a guest at Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with Tunué from 28th October to 1st November.
