Gregory Gallant, better known as Seth, is a Canadian cartoonist and graphic designer, widely known by critics as one of the leading figures in contemporary Nord American cartooning. He is often compared to acclaimed artists such as Chris Ware and Daniel Clowes.
He will be a guest at Lucca Comics & Games 2026 in collaboration with Coconino Press, presenting the latest edition of It’s a Good Life, If You Don’t Weaken, one of the most praised graphic novels among readers and critics. He is the creator of the series Palookaville, a series that began as a comic book several years ago and is now published in hardcover volumes twice a year.
Gallant’s comics have been featured in New York Times Magazine, Best American Comics, and McSweeney’s Quarterly. His illustrations and cover artworks have appeared in many of the world’s leading weekly publications, including the New Yorker.
Alongside It’s a Good Life, If You Don’t Weaken, Coconino Press has published Gallant’s masterpiece Clyde Fans (2019) – a work he developed over the course of more than twenty years – as well as the graphic novel George Sprott (2022).
He also oversees the design of reissue of landmark comics, including the complete edition of Peanuts by Charles Schulz. He was the protagonist of the National Film Board documentary “Seth’s Domination”.
Seth will be present at Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with Coconino Press from 28th October to 1st November.
