From ‘Horrified Ravenloft’ to the 40th anniversary of ‘Labyrinth’: all of Ravensburger’s previews

The 60th anniversary of Lucca Comics & Games will be an opportunity for Ravensburger to bring a selection of new releases, international previews and special activities to the fair, showcasing the brand’s vision of gaming. Among the main previews will be Horrified Ravenloft, the latest instalment in the famous co-operative series inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons universe. There will also be a spotlight on Tap 4, the new card game from The OP Games, created by Marilyn Dick and Dorene Mills. There are also major anniversaries for Labyrinth, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary; to mark this special occasion, it has chosen to celebrate with a special collaboration with one of the games considered a cornerstone of modern board game history: Carcassonne. Also at the fair will be 7 Lives, featuring its designer Simon de Die, and Ave Lemming, the game of trick-taking and betrayal that transports its unlikely creatures to the Roman Empire. The Ravensburger experience at Lucca Comics & Games will be rounded off by activities designed to entertain the public throughout the event: from dice rolls with Las Vegas to a giant version of Oh My Pigeons. Not to be missed are the latest releases from Disney Lorcana TCG for new players and collectors, who will be able to take part in Collection Quests, meet two Disney Lorcana artists for signing sessions, and try their luck at winning the new Woody – Helping a Friend promo card. More experienced players will also have the opportunity to test the new Disney Lorcana multiplayer format – known during development by the codename ‘Format Coconut’ – using either pre-built decks or their own.

Star Wars, Geo Pop and other new releases from Clementoni

At the 60th edition of Lucca Comics & Games, Clementoni is bringing a new collection of jigsaw puzzles dedicated to the Star Wars universe with ‘Star Wars – The Metamorphic Art Collection’, a new gaming experience where jigsaw puzzles, light and images come together to create stunning visual effects. There’s also something for lovers of science and mystery with games created in collaboration with Geo Pop: All-in Brain is the party game that brings general knowledge, intuition and strategy to the table in a challenge you’ll want to play, and The Science Escape, the first science-themed escape room. The family fun doesn’t end there: the colourful, chaotic and irresistibly entertaining Disco Draw is also on its way, transforming every game into a visual spectacle full of laughter. Finally, for lovers of the seven seas, there’ll be a chance to test your mettle in the world of pirates, where luck, strategy and a cool head count for a lot – but in Fingargh! it also matters how many fingers you have left at the end of the game.

Asmodée celebrates 25 years of *Lupi Mannari di Roccascura*

Among the most eagerly awaited events in the games area are Asmodee’s new releases, with the 25th anniversary of *Lupi Mannari di Roccascura* marking this milestone with a special, limited-edition version of the classic game of bluffing and hidden roles. Contemporary role-playing games also feature prominently in Italian independent productions. Hollow Press returns to Lucca Comics & Games with the expansion for *Pilgrims of the Murk Dome*, a fiction-first dark fantasy RPG set in a macabre and apocalyptic Middle Ages, bringing together in Lucca the setting’s author Jack Sensolini, psychologist and role-playing game designer Iacopo Frigerio, and Finnish illustrator and tattoo artist Joonas Ryynänen – known as Strange House – creator of the game’s visual style. Joining them will be Plastiboo, a Spanish artist and illustrator, creator of the Vermis saga and winner of the 2026 ENNIE Award for Best Cartography for the map of *Pilgrims of the Murk Dome*. Alongside this new release, *Cardfight!! Vanguard*, *Weiß Schwarz* and *Shadowverse: Evolve* will also be on show.

Tetris steps off the screen and onto the games table

Spin Master is bringing a pop culture icon to Lucca Comics & Games in a new guise: Tetris becomes a board game, transforming the famous video game into a three-dimensional challenge of logic, strategy and speed. As in the video game version, players must rotate and drop the characteristic semi-transparent Tetriminos onto the grid to complete lines; to make the game even more competitive, there is a mode that allows players to use so-called ‘junk pieces’ to hinder their opponents. An experience designed to engage the whole family whilst also winning over the most nostalgic players, bringing the timeless charm of one of the most recognisable video games of all time to the board.

Independent role-playing games find a home with Indiecore Distribution

Lucca60 will also be the stage for the official debut of Indiecore Distribution, a new Italian company dedicated to the distribution and promotion of independent role-playing games. Some of the first publishers to join the project will be present in Lucca, including Aces Games, Tin Hat Games, World Anvil, Forge of Role and Arcana, showcasing a selection from their respective catalogues alongside a range of original products from the United States, available at the fair thanks to a recent partnership with Indie Press Revolution, a leading American company specialising in the distribution of independent games.

Officina Meningi and the masterless role-playing game

But the news for role-playing enthusiasts doesn’t end there. Also present in Lucca will be Officina Meningi, an independent Italian publisher specialising in role-playing games, gamebooks and interactive fiction, famous for having developed and published various cultural and social projects using RPGs as a tool for dissemination, raising awareness and discussion. Among the new releases they will be bringing to the fair is the unique, masterless RPG *Friends Forever*, which will be distributed free of charge at the stand, complete with a dedication from the author Elisa Lo Porto of the Club della Tovaglia and the artist Jioke. A game that explores a lifelong friendship, from the formation of bonds to bereavement. The work was produced with the support of the Fondazione Perugia to raise awareness of non-violent communication.
