The Area Performance at Lucca Comics & Games is a space dedicated to live creativity, where art, comics and pop culture take shape through live painting, drawing, talks and artistic performances. This year, the area will be even more closely linked to the Carducci Pavilion, which will host the stands of the artists taking part in the live painting activities.
Artists taking part include Alexis “Aleksi” Briclot, Ciruelo Cabral, Echo Chernik, Monte Moore, Jason Engle, Kowah Kowalski, Steve Argyle, Nigel Sade, Karl Kopinski, Jesper Eijsing and Silvia Corso, who will be holding live painting sessions in the Performance Area throughout the event.
As usual, the works created will be auctioned at the end of the event on 1 November (from 4 pm) in the Carducci Pavilion. Part of the proceeds will then be donated to the Monasterio Foundation.
The Monasterio Foundation is bringing Frank Espinosa to Lucca Comics & Games; he is the illustrator of ‘Aisha’, the little blue monkey with a little ‘Bumbùm’ heart, chosen as the Foundation’s official mascot and a symbol dedicated to the children being treated at the Ospedale del Cuore in Massa. Aisha is the main character in the book, written by Sandra von Borries and illustrated by Espinosa, created to support young patients with a story that conveys warmth, courage and positivity.
