Once again this year, Lucca Comics & Games has its own special soundtrack: a packed programme of concerts, performances, shows and entertainment under the banner of the Music Area, spread across its various stages: the Giardino degli Osservanti (the stage dedicated to fandom), Piazzale Verdi with concerts and live performances, the Foro Boario for Lucca’s nightlife, and the Teatro del Giglio Giacomo Puccini. With stars, club-style parties, the obligatory LED wall at the Community Village and, new this year, the pure magic of musical instruments, thanks to the arrival of Fender and Ibanez and their iconic guitars, music will fill the streets and squares of Lucca to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lucca Comics & Games in style.
THE ITALIAN MUSIC SCENE MEETS LUCCA’S FANS
For the third year running, the major record labels are returning, banking on the Lucca Comics & Games audience, and bringing the hottest names on the Italian music scene: with established stars and emerging talents, the line-up on offer is varied and incredibly rich.
Warner Music returns to Lucca Comics and strengthens its presence in the Franceschetto area with an exclusive zone entirely dedicated to music and true collectors. A large part of the experience will be dedicated to the world of 883, with a unique area tailor-made for fans. The programme will also be enriched by special events and autograph sessions with numerous artists, the full list of whom will be officially revealed over the coming weeks on Warner Music Italy’s social media channels. Among the first names announced are Ariete and Giuse The Lizia. This dynamic and immersive project has been created to offer fans an unmissable experience, giving them the chance to meet their favourite artists in person and discover some genuine musical rarities.
Sony Music Entertainment Italy is once again set to be a major highlight at Lucca Comics & Games this year with a packed programme of artists and cross-genre projects. As is tradition, the Sony Music Store will be setting up shop at the Sky Stone & Songs outlet at 7 Via Vittorio Veneto. Among the most eagerly awaited events is the return of Giorgio Vanni, who will present his new album, Generazione Vanni, at an exclusive signing session to be held on Saturday 31 October alongside Max Longhi. Also not to be missed is the event on Friday 30 October at the Foro Boario, at 10.30 pm, featuring Daniel Tek’s DJ set “Alla DiscoTEKa”. There’ll also be plenty of great rock music with Karma, an iconic band on the Italian scene, who are the stars of a special limited-edition project, ‘Karma 1994–2023’, celebrating their history, including through the comic book Ophelia (published by Edizioni BD), based on an idea by David Moretti, Giuseppe Camuncoli and Daniele Orlandini, inspired by the song of the same name featured on their latest album “K3”. METAL AND IRISH-THEMED DAYS IN PIAZZALE VERDI
Piazzale Verdi will be the place to be, with live performances to get the party started. On Saturday 31 October, the energy of power metal arrives in Lucca: the sheer power lies in the guitars, the vocals and the relentless rhythms. The line-up features Elettra Storm, Alterium and, finally, the highly anticipated Grailknights from Germany. From the sonic power and energy of power metal, we move on to the rhythms and melodies of the Celtic-Irish tradition – the unmissable folk music of the Emerald Isle, with sounds and atmospheres handed down through the ages and always perfect for dancing together. It’s the ‘Emerald Sounds’ evening, featuring Gens d’Ys, I Santi Bevitori, and Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards.
AT THE GIARDINO DEGLI OSSERVANTI: THE RHYTHM OF THE COMMUNITY
The stage with the most fandom spirit, the Giardino degli Osservanti is the place where music meets the community, with shows, contests, performances and, of course, music. On Saturday 31 October, the Anime Vocal Contest returns – the singing competition dedicated to fantasy-pop music, TV theme tunes and the world of fantasy, which has earned the nickname ‘Sanremo Fantasy’, with the five finalists vying for victory. And it is on this stage that Lucca Comics & Games will bring the event to a spectacular close with the Giga Party on Sunday 1 November, reviving the energy of the 1990s with DJ sets, live performances, entertainment and interactive games – a huge party for children.
A NEW PAVILION DEDICATED ENTIRELY TO MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
The biggest new feature in the Music section of Lucca Comics & Games this year is the 60-square-metre pavilion entirely dedicated to musical instruments, which will feature two of the leading brands in the field: the legendary Fender and Ibanez, which have shaped the world of guitars and basses over several decades. From the United States, the Fender Group will be exhibiting a number of rare, limited-edition guitars from the Fender and Jackson brands, the result of historic collaborations with, for example, video games such as Diablo and Monster Hunter, and characters such as Hello Kitty. And more new developments are on the way… all making their exclusive debut at Lucca Comics & Games 2026. From Japan, the legendary Ibanez brand will be present with a special stand where visitors can admire a selection of extraordinary instruments. It will also unveil a special collaboration that will only be revealed at the fair. The collaboration between Algam EKO and Lucca Comics & Games is also getting underway: Algam EKO will donate an EKO Guitars Marco Polo T500e SO, which will be auctioned in the Performance Area during the event’s traditional closing charity event on Sunday 1 November in the Carducci Pavilion.
ON THE STAGE OF THE TEATRO DEL GIGLIO GIACOMO PUCCINI
In addition to the previously announced, highly anticipated return of the Cavalieri del Re and the magic of Yoko Kanno, who will perform a concert dedicated to her memorable soundtracks, on Sunday 1 November, the Teatro del Giglio Giacomo Puccini will become the stage for the thrills of ‘Voci di Mezzo’, the format created at Lucca Comics & Games by Cristina Poccardi, which for over 10 years has brought together the great Italian voices of dubbing and contemporary legends. This year, in keeping with the ‘Legacy’ theme, Voci di Mezzo celebrates the passing of the torch between the most beloved works and the great Italian dubbing artists who have made them unforgettable: a journey through horror, myth, fantasy and the world of superheroes, in which each story draws on a legacy and, by reinventing it, forges a new one. The event takes place on Sunday 1 November at 7.00 pm with Cristina Poccardi (author and producer of the show) and Mirko Fabbreschi (author, composer and frontman of Raggi Fotonici), alongside Riccardo Suárez, Marco Vivio, Flavio Aquilone, Manuel Meli, Alessandro Quarta, Riccardo Onorato, Riccardo Rossi and Barbara De Bortoli.
THE NIGHT AT THE FORO BOARIO
The night comes alive at the Foro Boario, a beautiful, refurbished venue marking the return of club nights. From the ‘full-throttle’ format of Daniel Tek’s Alla DiscoTEKa to the major event celebrating the 60th anniversary of Lucca Comics & Games… On Saturday 31 October, the Serata Blaster arrives in Lucca: the alternative party that combines clubbing and live shows, blends the subcultures of the music scene with the nerd world and, above all, keeps things fresh and surprising because every Serata Blaster is different from the rest!
