Lucca Comics & Games is celebrating with an edition that reaffirms the deep connection between the festival and the world of video games, bringing together major international publishers, legendary creators and independent Italian developers. The gaming experience extends to every corner of the city, with dedicated spaces, pavilions and venues bringing the entire historic centre to life.
PLAION BRINGS SEGA AND ATLUS TO LUCCA, FEATURING SCI-FI SURVIVAL HORROR AND JRPGs
Plaion is bringing the SEGA and ATLUS line-up to the Casermetta San Paolino, featuring the Italian premieres of Alien: Isolation 2 (pictured), STRANGER THAN HEAVEN by RGG Studio and Persona 4 Revival, as well as a panel and a meet & greet with the developers of Alien: Isolation 2, Al Hope and Ana Sopikova.
LUCCA COMICS & GAMES CELEBRATES FINAL FANTASY VII, WITH YOSHINORI KITASE AS GUEST OF HONOUR
SQUARE ENIX is celebrating the FINAL FANTASY VII Remake series at Lucca Comics & Games with legendary producer Yoshinori Kitase, who will be taking part in a Community Q&A dedicated to the legacy of the original game and the Remake series, as well as a Career Masterclass in which he will share his extraordinary journey within the franchise; at the end of the event, he will be awarded a place on the festival’s Walk of Fame. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Kitase-san during dedicated book-signing sessions. Finally, at the Casa del Boia, there will be a showcase dedicated to FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, featuring new information, freebies and merchandise on sale.
CD PROJEKT RED AT LUCCA COMICS & GAMES 2026
CD PROJEKT RED is presenting two panels, both in English: “Emotional Damage: How Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Makes You Feel”, with showrunner Bartosz Stybor and executive producer Saya Elder, and “Returning to the Path”, dedicated to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, featuring a demo presentation. Rounding off the programme are a pen-and-paper session and The Witcher Cosplay Parade through the streets of Lucca.

Cydonia and Nara Studio are celebrating the indie phenomenon Wonderful Neoran Valley, which set an Italian crowdfunding record on Kickstarter, with a new trailer premiering at the Teatro del Giglio, key art by LRNZ and a dedicated stand featuring daily meet-and-greets.
LUCCA COMICS & GAMES IS ALSO BANDAI NAMCO
For the fourth year running, Bandai Namco and BANDAI SPIRITS are opening the doors to the Bandai Namco Palace, with over 400 square metres dedicated to video game previews, Banpresto collectables, Gashapon, Ichiban Kuji, model kits and exclusive merchandise.

The festival also hosts some of the most influential creators in the history of the medium: Hideki Kamiya (Devil May Cry, Ōkami, Bayonetta), Stephen Bliss, former Senior Artist at Rockstar Games and the artistic force behind GTA, Daniel Dociu, a legend of Guild Wars concept art, Charles Cecil, who will be presenting Broken Sword – The Smoking Mirror: Reforged, and Noah Falstein, one of LucasArts’ veterans.
ITALIAN INDIE SCENE TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT LUCCA COMICS & GAMES
There will also be space for Italian independent studios, with Day 4 Night Productions discussing their transition from developers to founders, and Burning Farmhouse showcasing their new horror title, Marmorea. The Multibrand Videogames Pavilion will host Trinity Team with Slaps and Beans and Honkai: Star Rail, whilst Indie Vault, at Palazzo Guinigi, will showcase ten independent studios selected by a jury of experts.
GAMING, TECHNOLOGY AND ESPORTS: BRANDS BRING LUCCA TO LIFE
There is no shortage of major brand activations: MediaWorld is celebrating its double anniversary with the Celebration Village, Euronics is offering the ‘Level Up Everyday’ experience combining gaming and technology, and the Red Bull Wings Cup is hosting the EA SPORTS FC™ National Final, with the winner set to head to Miami for the World Final in January.
