The Director’s Eye is a discussion focusing on the role of the game director and the delicate balance between creative vision and teamwork. A journey through the creative process, from the initial idea to the development of a shared language, covering game design choices, art direction, character development and all those decisions which, day after day, help to shape a video game and give it its personality.

The panel will also explore the relationship between the director’s identity and the team’s contribution: how much of an original vision must be preserved, how much can change during development, and how dialogue with designers, artists, programmers and other creatives can transform and enrich an idea.

A behind-the-scenes look at creative direction, to understand not only how a video game is created, but how an individual vision can become a collective work without losing what made it unique from the outset.
