A war, a fairy tale, a protest, a memory, a dragon. At first glance, they seem like worlds apart. And yet every illustrator always reflects their own time.
Chris Riddell, author of numerous books published by Il Castoro, observes the present through satire, social commentary and imagination.
Guided by the scriptwriter Michele Monteleone, those present will discover how drawing can become a chronicle, a metaphor, a memory and a story, transforming reality into images that continue to speak to us even when words are not enough.
During the event, Chris Riddell will produce some sketches live, giving the audience an insight into the creative process.
